about

I wrote this ep in a short space of time as an antidote to a much longer and more complicated piece of music to be released shortly.

I like to start with something very dark, almost black, before trying to scratch a melody onto the surface.
I like to use the Theremin both melodically and as a tool for atmosphere.

The album cover has a very religious slant to it. The antenna and volume loop combining to make a crucifix of sorts.
Like most musical instruments the Theremin has an almost religious zealot following.
I felt that in every track on this ep.

If you listen very closely there are also a number of "found" sounds in the tracks, mainly the rhythms. I "found" those sounds in Loch Ness in the Scottish highlands.
Perfect for atmosphere.
